Fahrenheit 451 part 2 reflection

I didn't like this part very much because my favorite charcter, Clarisse is dead. The author did a really stupid decision. Why did he kill his best character? And he add a new character who is a old man. The author my interest of this book in only 40 pages. It is really annoyed.
